“Really good meal”

really enjoyed this meal. A bit on the pricey side and portions are a bit small but very good quality and good service. Nice for date night!

“Decent food, but the restaurant smells like a fish market”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Mitchell's is a more upscale meal option with a variety of entrees from steak to seafood to more casual fare. Unfortunately, the smell of the raw seafood can permeate the restaurant on certain days. If you get lucky, you won't smell it all and other times it is strong enough that I don't want to eat there. Think the raw fish smell from some sushi bars. If it doesn't bother you then the food is good. If this type of thing does bother you, then I would go elsewhere. They do have a nice group room for larger parties.

“Excellent Service”

The weather was nice and also the beach. THe Club Blue Martini was full of pleasant people. The hotel InterContinental was lousy and just not very clean.

“Great Sea food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

First time in Tampa, the wife is a celiac (gluten intolerant). Which makes it tough at times to find a restaurant that can accommodate her needs. The meal was awesome and the wait staff bent over backwards to make her meal as tasty as anyone else's.

“A very nice meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

A group of 8 enjoyed a very nice meal. All the choices were excellent although the crab cakes were too salty for my taste. We wisely reserved a private dining room as it was particularly noisy in the main dining room even at the early hour of 5:00pm when we arrived and by 7:00pm it was a low roar when we exited. Take advantage of the valet parking at curbside. Our server was Troy and he was knowledgeable, pleasant and proficient. Troy is Top Knotch! Raves for the spicy shrimp appetizers and the grilled oysters. Fave entrees for our group was the fried cod, scallops, shrimp combo dinner and the twin lobster tails. Portions are more than adequate. We split 4 pieces of carrot cake and would have been more than satisfied to have split 2 pieces between the 8 of us - huge pieces and delicious. Make reservations! There was a looonnnggggg line on the Saturday evening we were there.
