Reviewed February 9, 2013

Lettuce Lake Park is a small park along the Hillsborough River perfect for families. It has a playground and giant field for children to play on. There is about eleven pavilions with grills for cookouts. The park also offers a kayak/canoe rental service. There is also a small visitor center that teaches visitors about the local wildlife. There is a boardwalk along the river where one can see birds and alligators and small trails and bike paths.

Keep your eyes and ears open and you will really experience Tampa's wildlife including cypress trees, moss, birds, and the many beings who like a quiet, wet environment. Great place for photography.

“Great Place to Visit”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Visited here recently on a work trip. A very nice way to spend part of a day and only $2.00! This place is very scenic and good for photography buffs like me. I managed to catch sight of a small alligator and some other interesting wildlife.

“Very Nice Park”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

We enjoy State Parks and decided to stop by this one while we were in town. It was $2 and well worth it. Tons of walking trails including a boardwalk that hovers over the swamp. We even saw a few alligators, tons of turtles, and plenty of birds. We wanted to kayak but didn't have time. I highly recommend the park for a relaxing afternoon or picnic
