Owner description: Lettuce Lake Park opened in 1982 and quickly became a hub of activities. The 240-acre site offers something for everyone. Wooded picnic areas and a playground are family favorites. A 1.25 mile bicycle path/jogging trail, complete with a fitness course, meander through the park. Lettuce Lake is also a haven to study nature. An interpretive center, featuring exhibits, leads to a 3,500-foot boardwalk and an observation tower where visitors can view an extensive variety of wildlife. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent to visitors to experience a wholenew side of the Park.

“Nice family place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

Lettuce Lake Park is one of those peaceful places. The whole family will have fun here walking the trails. There is a board walk to walk and on that boardwalk you will see the river which may reflect some water depending on how the rain has been and tons of different species of birds, and other animals. There is also a tower which you can climb to check out the whole view of nature around you.
I found this park to be a great place to enjoy nature, and just have a relaxing chill day.

“Beautiful!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

This park was very close to our hotel and we just happened to stop by there one day. It was a little bit of a bummer because the water was so high that a lot of the boardwalks were closed, but it was still beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. The guys working there were super friendly and we were super excited because we got to see an alligator! First one I had ever seen so it was pretty exciting!

I cannot believe how nice our local parks are. This is amazing to be right in the heart of the USF area and have this piece of paradise.

This is a great wildlife viewing park with boardwalk on the water, where alligators, turtles, birds of all kinds spend their day.

“Untouched”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

As a kid I took field trips to lettuce lake park now as an adult I frequent the park for a run. The views on the boardwalk are nice and I typically see an alligator every time I go. It seems to remain untouched through the years in a good way. Great place for nature lovers.
