This is a great wildlife viewing park with boardwalk on the water, where alligators, turtles, birds of all kinds spend their day.

As a kid I took field trips to lettuce lake park now as an adult I frequent the park for a run. The views on the boardwalk are nice and I typically see an alligator every time I go. It seems to remain untouched through the years in a good way. Great place for nature lovers.

This park is near the city but quiet and peaceful. Nice views of the river and some good small animal and plant life.

Wooded park with long winding boardwalk through the wetlands and along the river. The trail leads to a viewing tower you can climb to see the Hillsborough River and lots of Florida wildlife - animals, plants, amphibians and water creatures. A nature enter is located at the trailhead. The park had nice picnic shelters, open fields for family sports and a playground. There is a lot of shade which makes it a favorite local spot in the summer to beat he heat.

Went to this park early Sept after Isaac had come through with some rain and the park was underwater, literally. The pier was closed down due to being underwater and half of the trails were underwater also. With that being said i got some amazing photos of the water and the old moss and oak tress. This park was like stepping into a louisianna bayou with the low hanging moss and cypress knees and trees. Looking forward to returning to this park when the rain hasnt put it under water. Lovely park and lots of area for picnics and gatherings!
