“You don't even have to be a Yankees fan to love it”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

I've been to Steinbrenner Field twice to watch the Rays vs. Yankees game. Each visit was a wonderful experience. Spring Training is awesome because you get to see your favorite players from both teams in a smaller venue. There's not a bad seat in the house because you're so close to the field. Parking is also a breeze. The attendants are very friendly and efficient. They even have their own crosswalk from the Ray Jay parking lot that takes you over Dale Mabry. It's accessible by stairs, or by ramp. I took lots of pictures from that crosswalk of both the field and the stadium.

Once you cross over, there's a gated area to the left where the Yankees practice before the game. The gates open 2 hours before the game which gives you plenty of time to decide on a concession and grab a bite to eat. I've had the Boar's Head deli sandwiches and the Lee Roy Selmon pulled pork sandwiches. Both are pretty good. A bit pricey for the food, but that's the way it is in all stadiums. They also have the standard hot dogs, hamburgers, pretzels, cotton candy, and fresh squeezed lemonade. It wouldn't be a ball park without them.

Probably my favorite moment was last year's game when Mariano Rivera stepped onto the field while playing, "Enter Sandman". We all gave him a huge applause (retirement year and all). This year, it was watching the ground crew dance to the "YMCA" song. Oh, and it's always great hearing Ethel Merman's version of "God Bless America". It's an awesome experience for any baseball fan! Come on... who doesn't love New York? :-)

“Inside Experience Was Fantastic”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Watching the Yankees at any time is always a special occassion for me but the combination of a game against the Phillies and participating in the Inside Experience was way over the top. The stories told by staff members about George Steinbrenner provided another level of appreciation for the Boss.

“Spring Baseball In A Very Nice Park”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

The field is 3 mi. from the Embassy Suites. I walked back! Getting to see TANAKA's virgin outing was fun. Not much better than baseball on a sunny 75 degree day.

“Orioles Won!”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

We were there for a company-sponsored (ours) customer-appreciation show. The staff was very professional, and the catered food was amazing! The view from the mid-level left-field seats was great. If only I had brought a jacket and my binoculars!
