Up close to the players. Enjoyable to just sit and watch spring training workouts. May catch a hall of famer or recently retired players there as well. Courtyard with plaques of retired numbers. Gift shop expensive, especially if you actually live in the NY area-same items as your local Modells but at gift shop prices.

What could be better than sitting in the warm March air watching the boys in pinstripes? Legends Field was renamed for Yankees' owner George M. Steinbrenner a couple years ago and is one of the nicest facilities on the Grapefruit League tour. The facility is always very clean, including the several restrooms. Seats are comfortable and none are very far from the field so you really get a good view of the players. Seats on the third base line (visiting team) are mostly in the sun during an afternoon game while those behind home plate and along the first base side are shady during the afternoon games. A wide variety of food is offered although it can get very pricey if you frequent the Outback or Boar's Head Deli counters. Better to confine your dining selections to the $5 footlong and a soda, then try one of the better restaurants within easy driving distance of the field. Ample parking is located in lots on the east side of Dale Maby Highway @ $10/car and a footbridge over DM allows easy, safe access to the stadium.

This is a great ball park, easily accessible once inside to just about everything, clean, fun and small with world class pro ball players. Allow extra time for driving, as it's located just about at the busiest intersection on earth! And across from The Tampa Buccaneers stadium on hectic and overcrowded Dale Mabry Highway.
