“Best BBQ food I've ever had”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Living in Britain means there are not opportunities to have "proper" top quality BBQ food like you can in USA. Went here in March on holiday on the day after arriving. Food was absolutely stunning and left me thinking about it for weeks afterwards at how amazing it was and SO cheap too. The portion was large so there was enough for supper that evening. So delicious, great service and will definitely go back when we are next in town visiting.

“Best ribs in town”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

What a cute quaint little restaurant. Starting from the outdoor porch and ambiance to intimate tables inside.Fast friendly service with excellent food. One of our favorite places for ribs and
chicken. And so reasonably price.

“Best BBQ in Tampa”

Can't get enough of those parsley potatoes. The pulled pork sandwich is amazing, the pork is tender and the bun is the best I've ever had. Also try the hot links, spicy with the perfect snap. Great lunch deals as well.

“A great find”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

As we were driving around Hyde Park and Bayfront Drive, we happened upon Kojak's at lunch time. It appeared to be quite busy and we figured that was a good sign so we stopped. My husband had the regular sized rib lunch (5 meaty, juicy ribs) with 2 side dishes, and I had their new pulled pork sandwich with 1 side. We did not leave a drop of anything on our plates. Highly recommended and there were mostly locals there.

“Disappointment, overrated.”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

We read the raving reviews and expected the best. Upon sitting our waitress was very abrupt and rude. Not at all welcoming. Once
We decided On our meals, the food arrived just moments later almost as if it was pre-plated. We had the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork was chopped not pulled and also very dry. We had the side of baked beans which appeared to be canned. The ribs were Luke warm and clearly tasted as though that had had been sitting for a while. They were very dry and the flavor was nothing to rave about. Our visit overall, was disappointing. We were never offered refills until after we had paid our bill. From the time we sat until we were finished eatting spanned a total 20 minutes, and it wasnt even busy! Our stay was very rushed and not at all welcoming. We will not be returning and we would not recommend this restaurant.
