“LOVELY UPSCALE EATERY”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2013

We stopped here for lunch on Xmas Eve and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The place appears to be a local favorite and business was brisk.

My wife had the Croque Madame, which she liked, but looked appalling to me, as it was stuffed with cheap cheese and deli processed ham. I had the Banana Bread French Toast which I thought was fun and different. The Turkey Bacon I ordered as an add on was a pathetic effort: 3 slices, limp, thin, & tasteless.

Nevertheless, it was an overall fun and pleasant experience.

“Wonderful”

I went here for my first time last Saturday and I was impressed with everything! My family and I had a small get together here for lunch and the lunch menu sounded all so good. But I got the duck dynasty which was on a speacials menu. Let me just say it was melt in your mouth bursting of duck flavor. The meal had bbq duck with fennel coleslaw inside of a big challah bun. The duck itself was just amazing, it oozed of juices down my hand. Then there were the truffle oiled french fries. It was also amazing. You can taste the truffle oil along eatting the golden crispy fries. There was the dessert after...it was their famous croissant and doughnut pastry. I had the nutella flavor, it was also good. The waitress was very sweet and attentive to us when we needed her for certain things, also I think her mother is the owner. The owner was also nice. The decor was modern but comforting. Very nice bistro. I'm going back soon.

Very cute French inspired bistro, very nice atmosphere, nice service in a very nice area of Tampa. Great French Cuban sandwich. Piquant is known for the croissant doughnuts. They are indeed very good and worth trying but not as good as the other amazing desserts. You have to have the lemon tart. We will definitely go back. Just wish it would be closer from home and that they would have a liquor license. You need a glass of wine with a french meal! I am French BTW.

“Good, but very slow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

My sandwich and salad were excellent, they just took an extremely long time to come out. My girl friend and I decided to try a small dessert...this also took an obnoxious amount of time to be pulled from the cooler and walked to our table. Then it was a disappointment. The mousse was very gummy. Thanks to the delicious smoked chicken salad sandwich, I'll try this place again. I'll just steer clear of dessert and pray that the kitchen is operating on all cylinders.

“Great atmosphere & food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

Great meal at Piquant in Hyde Park. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiche and salad I had and my friend enjoyed her vegetable sandwich. I am gluten free and they had a lot of gluten free options including gluten free bread for sandwiches, the gluten free quiche, and I even had a gluten free cookie. The décor is cute. Wish I lived closer so I could go back.
