This is the sister restaurant to the famous Bern's Steak House. It is no step-sister. The food was outstanding. This was our second visit to this restaurant on our second straight trip to Tampa. The atmosphere is pleasant. The waiter was quite knowledgeable. There is a large bar where one can order appetizers or a meal with a drink if not in a large party. Not an inexpensive restaurant, but worth the price.

Six of us went to the preview of Elevage. This is the restaurant that will be in the new Epicurean hotel. It was a pop-up at Sidebern's and staff uniforms and menus were what we would expect to see when the restaurant opens.
The food was amazing. My friend Joseph estimated that we ate 36% of the items offered on the menu. From the picnic weenies to the tea sandwiches to the steak. Simply can't wait for the restaurant to be part of the regular cycle.
And while I'm at it to re-look at Sidebern's.

Good views, warm and attentive service, and excellent food will make this place a favorite. Kudos to the manager, too, who knows how to check on your table without intruding on your meal.

Two people, three drinks, one app., salad and two entrees - $170 (with tip). Do the Burn's folks they think this is LA or Manhattan? The food and service was decent, but did not warrant these prices.

Will not be going back, and know quite a few others in area who feel the same. Not sure how they will manage to keep doors open for much longer with other competition offering better food at manageable price.

I support the locally grown idea, but I simply thought the food would be better with the Berns name over the door. It was fresh but not as tasty as I would have hoped. It was extremely noisy at the bar when we were there, and it was difficult to hear our waitress to place our order or have a conversation with my friends, even though we were across the room.
