If you want a great slice of pizza, head to Eddie & Sam's pizza in downtown Tampa. The slices are huge, they have a great variety (even a lasagne slice), and they are delicious!! I had a vegetable slice and my husband had the meat lovers. There were no leftovers!! It gets busy at lunchtime, but they do an excellent job of keeping up with the demand.

Wow! There must be some Disney baked into their pizza because it is magical. The pizza here is on the list of places to bring our visitors. We have visited this place at least 15x in our first yr living in Tampa.

Buffalo chicken is my go to, but with crust like mana from the heavens you can't go wrong. The garlic knots are better than bacon wrapped sex on an exotic island.

Tastes like New York. It's quick and delicious. They have the fun Coke machines with which you can add flavors. It's my teenagers favorite spot to eat.

We are locals and love Eddie's & Sam's. We tell new people and visiting friends they must go to this infamous New York pizza place in Tampa.

One side note they indeed use New York water I made him prove it by pulling the water off of the shelf in the jogs labeled New York water.

We stopped in recently for some garlic knots on a busy Friday night after the fourth Friday in Tampa's downtown. We love the line we love the vibe everything about the place is awesome especially the heat radiating from the pizza ovens. I ordered for garlic knots to top off my families evening. All were very excited because we had had the garlic knots of days gone bye.

Much to our surprise these garlic knot changed. Imagine a honey bun or a cinnamon roll except for garlic instead of sweet. Sounds like it might be good, except at night they get a hard, the flavor did not permeate through the entire breading.

This Tampa landmark still still holds true to the core values of New York style pizza but the garlic knots slipped tonight.

If you're from the NYC area like me or hear people talking about authentic NY people, this is what you want. Correction... This is what you need! I promise, after a visit you will never think of pizza the same again. I drive 30 minutes just for this pizza. This, is the real done and it's in the heart of downtown Tampa so it's perfect for a little fun and food on the town. Eat some pizza, walk around downtown, stop back in for some gelato before you head back home. That's how we do it!
