Description: One of the most famous, and popular, aspects of Bern's Steak House is its dessert room. The Harry Waugh Dessert Room was built as a tribute to Mr. Harry Waugh, an internationally known and respected wine connoisseur, director of Chateau Latour and good friend to Bern Laxer. Waugh's books and personal diaries on wine tasting are well known throughout the world.

Nice place, different decorations and set up but nice enough for a family dinner. We enjoyed the dessert room the best.

After eating dinner downstairs you come up here to the dessert room for a completely different experience. It is a must.

As a Tampa native, I love Bern's!! My favorite part?? The dessert room! An absolutely amazing selection of hand crafted desserts. It really doesn't get any better! If you visit Bern's you MUST visit the dessert room!

The desserts are real good and while you may find nice desserts at other restaurants, the dessert room is unique. You have you own private room for your party for dessert...pretty cool. Then there's the after dinner drink list....pick whatever you like....scotch, rum, sweet wine, port, madeira.... selections of these you have never seen, some from the 1800s. Nate will advise you on all of the after dinner drinks knows just about all there is to know about the topic so you are in very good hands.

Scrumptious dessert for two at the renowned, unique, dessert room. It's made table side and was the end to a perfect evening.
They may ask you when they flambé "would you like it thick, or soupy?" Make sure you say SOUPY as thin is the best and enjoy.
