An amazing gift to Tampa from the Caspers. This is a great example of where culture, intelligence, money, location, architecture and design are combined and the product is just a fabulous location to spend hours either reading a book, enjoying a meal, tea, great coffee or just catch up with a friend. Reminds me of so many cool coffee shops or boutiques across Europe. If you're staying in Downtown Tampa, visiting a student at University of Tampa or South Tampa, please treat yourself to visit this location.
The book / reading area is far more welcoming than Barnes & noble or any other bookstore could ever have envisioned. While not the largest selection of books, the books on display are grouped together by themes and just simply encourage you to grab one, sit down and pore over a few pages.
The Buddy Brew counter is fun. This is about as good as coffee gets in Tampa. I'm not much for tea but my friends who are rave about the tea options and enjoy the afternoon tea option.
The restaurant is good. I've eaten there for breakfast numerous times and find the food to be fresh, well seasoned and tasty. The place is packed for lunch and especially on weekends so they must be doing something good.
The shopping area is an eclectic collection of items and most have never been on sale in Tampa. Items you'd find at high end or cool boutiques in the hip areas of New York, Santa Monica, San Francisco, etc.
The entire Oxford Exchange package is definitely 5 STARS worthy. The restaurant is a solid offering but not at the level of the greatest restaurants I've eaten. When entering the stars, this asks for overall rating of the restaurant which is why I give the review 4 stars. Keep in mind, Oxford Exchange is far more than a restaurant.
