I went last weekend with USF students and watched the Queen of Versailles, which only cost $10 (that's about how much I would spend watching a movie at a multiplex. When I first walked in I was taken with the interior of the Tampa Theater, how detailed everything was. Though its old, it still has its classic charm. When you go to sit down, you look up and you feel you're outdoors cause the ceiling looks like the night sky with stars. This is a great place to go on a date or experience a movie in unique fashion. Before the movie an organist rose from the stage and entertained theater goers prior to the movie starting. They play a lot of indie films that really send an intentional message, I appreciated that working in higher education.
Great tip: Ge there early and get a balcony seat, it really makes the experience that much better.
