“Great food, great way to spend a Sunday morning.”

Heard about this place from my teenaged son.....and it's awesome! Bring cash, and a good appetite. Also, better to come with friends, so you can share dishes and therefore try more stuff.

“Excellent place for Sunday lunch”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

You can't beat the fresh food and fantastic atmosphere of the Wat. You need to come as a group, split up and let everyone buy something different and then try everything. All the food is fresh and really reasonable. We love to take friends when they come in from out of town. Makes Tampa look hip and cool. They have invested quite a lot over the years in making this place an enjoyable place to be.

“Get there early.”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

The food here is amazing. If you arrive closer to 11 expect long lines for the noodle bowl and a hard time parking. You would be better off getting there around 10. The food was amazing. I had a large pork noodle bowl. ($7) you could have large, small or a mix of noodles. Also they had pork, beef or vegetable. To the side are lots of sauces and hot stuff to add.ninshoul have gotten the small, but I waited a long time in line and decided to do the large to share with the family. My husband got the pumpkin curry ($5). It was amazing. The kids got egg rolls and fried bananas.

If you want to go into the temple, no shorts and no cleavage. We did not know this, and my boys and husband were in shorts. Next time we will know.

“This place is fantastic!”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

We got to the temple around 10 a.m. so that we would not have trouble parking. It gets crowded very quickly. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I was overwhelmed by all the choices, but after walking around for a few minutes decided on a fish curry. The curry was served with noodles, shredded cabbage and carrots, bean sprouts, and basil. It was delicious. My husband got a pork pho, which had ground pork, pork meatballs, and bbq pork. Both meals were quite a nice size and $5 each! You eat at picnic tables shaded by trees with spanish moss and overlooking the water. We then shared some fried bananas which were interesting. It felt like more of an event than just going to get lunch. It does seem that you will spend time waiting in lines later in the day, but the food would definitely be worth it. If you are looking for something fun and different to do on a Sunday morning, I would highly recommend a trip here!
