Ok hotel with great location for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island

This is not a 4-star hotel so the people that rip it with reviews forget what they're paying for. What this hotel is... A great price, Its run by friendly staff with good attitudes and customer service skills, nice landscaping, Great location, Clean rooms with a tv, movies, hbo, news etc. Has Cartoon Network too! Nice sized fenced in pool with a very comfy wood deck under some shady oaks. It also has a jacuzzi that is by the pool but tucked in a corner that gives a little privacy. You can also control the temperature! You can also walk (100 yds) to Sony's & IHOP.

What can be improved
I needs painting, carpet is a little worn, trash cans on top of stairs needed emptying both nights, both stairs?, extended hours for lobby. Have to go through window.

This is a safe and inexpensive option if you're going to Busch Gardens or Adventure Island.
I'll go back.
Eric

Booked online so did not know what to expect. when we arrived we were given a 1st floor room. As soon as we walked in we were hit with a strong moldy odor. We went to the desk and asked for a 2nd room, preferably 2nd floor. The second room smelled better, but the room wasn't very nice. We wouldn't walk on the carpet without shoes on, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom shower/tub unit looked dirty, there was a dead bug on the bathroom floor and very few towels. The pool and hot tub were ok but didn't appear to be chlorinated. Our swimsuits had an unpleasant smell after swimming. Also there was a police car with police officer parked in parking lot all night. Sure it made you feel safe, but also made us wonder why he had to be there. Upon checking out the staff gave my sister a difficult time because she had travelers checks, they were acting as if they were counterfeit. The only good thing about the hotel is their location if you are going to busch gardens. Oh and as a side note the only Dunkin Donuts around had no drivethrough and the line of people ordering extended outdoors every morning. In the amount of time it took to get your take out coffee you could have had a sit down meal somewhere.

We've stayed at quite a few motels in the US and Red Roof Busch is, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst. It was rundown and unkempt and the bathrooms in both rooms our party had were worn and not particularly clean. The whole bathrooms were plastic "fit-in" units and they felt on the verge of collapse.

The area isn't particularly great and we have felt a lot safer. On top of that, the front rooms in the motel get a lot of noise from the road outside, and rooms at the rear back onto a busy railway with huge noisy goods trains running all night, blaring horns etc.

Not recommended at all.

The Red Roof Inn on Busch Blvd is a small quiet pretty place. The rooms are small but adequate and the pool was nice and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. The walk ways and vending area and the front lobby were all very well kept. This is the perfect place to stay if u want to be comfortable and safe and near everything and save your money for other things than over priced lodging. The landscaping around this place is very pretty. it was a pleasant comfortable stay.
