RUN from this Hotel!

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 15, 2019
This hotel is the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. Right now, there is a high rise building being constructed across the street. The construction noise is a 24/7 annoyance. Plus, my reserved room was given to someone else by the staff and my quoted rate went up by $1,000 when I arrived. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!

My conference and construction were going on at the same time. This made for a bit of a headache but if your going to the convention center or Amalie its worth the hassle. Not only are you walking distance but you have a free trolley that takes you to Ybor and other areas. I took it home one night from Ybor with my guy and I loved it. Personally I'm from Chicago if I think of a free train I'd think dirty and ugly. No this was clean and so cute.

As far as the staff they were great! Room service was amazing. Since I had conference I needed to eat early and they always had an amazing breakfast available. And as weird as this sounds they make the best hashbrowns I've ever had. That doesnt sound great? But my Dad owned a restaurant and so did lots of family friends. Mostly breakfast spots so I know my hashbrowns. Also the Lox was amazing too. Next year I will be back and I will be here thanks to the great staff and service.

Had the pleasure of staying two nights at this hotel for a work conference.

The rooms are very nicely appointed and clean.

Check-in was very easy and staff was friendly and accommodating.

The concierge’s lounge was tranquil and well designed with beautiful views of the area and an outdoor terrace. Nice assortment of hors d’oeuvres as well as a great morning spread for breakfast.

The pool was also very nice and included a pool bar as well as plenty of lounge chairs.

The location was. Convenient to a lot of little things and the hotel itself is set right on the water when making for a nice stroll.

My only complaint, like most hotels, is they now use smart AC units so the room never got cold to my liking.

We really enjoyed our visit to this property: Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina. The location was very nice with a great waterside view from our room and balcony.

The concierge lounge was nice, but the staff there really made it special. They tried very hard to help us with vegan options. We want to especially thank: Luz, Ashley, and Carl in the concierge lounge.

Also, when we checked in very late at night, the only room they had for us was not good. So the next morning Carlos at Front Desk helped move us to a wonderful room that really made a difference in our experience. He was very friendly and followed up later to ensure we were happy.

Thank you to the staff that made our visit special.

Overall, a nice hotel and what you would expect of a Marriott. The hotel was very full during our stay, so there was a wait for most things. They do have a concierge desk but I never actually saw someone working there during our stay. Be aware that there is a ton of construction going on in front of the hotel and it makes it a little more difficult to get in and out. While we were there the smell of sewage was also pretty strong right outside of the hotel. Overall, a nice stay.

This hotel was under construction and we still had a fabulous experience. The staff is just great. They go the extra mile to care for you and tend to your needs. The spaces are comfortable and lavish. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well furnished. The views were stunning, really! The location is surprising - tucked on the waterfront downtown, but there is a lot around there and more coming. This was a great experience, and a good place for a conference.
