Description: Enjoy waterfront drinks, tapas and our delicious Spanish/Cuban cuisine at the Columbia Cafe in the Tampa Bay History Center on the Tampa Riverwalk. The Cafe proudly serves locally brewed craft beers on tap. We offer a full bar, and serve lunch and dinner daily. Live music Friday and Saturday nights on our outdoor, canopy covered waterfront patio bar. Located next to the Amalie Arena, and walking distance along the Tampa Riverwalk from the Marriott Waterside Hotel, Embassy Suites, the Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Convention Center. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men. Guests can dine inside at a scaled-down version of the original mahogany bar at our sister restaurant, the Columbia in Tampa's historic Ybor City, built more than a century ago in 1905 by the Brunswick Company. If you're boating, we invite you to dock at Garrison Channel outside the Tampa Bay History Center at one of eight tie-ups.

authentic Spanish cuisine. Very good. Food service took a little longer, but it was good. It was nice to come in from the heat and enjoy a nice view

First off great drinks. We had a pitcher of mojitos for $25 bucks. Gave us about glasses, so well worth it. Food was great, and location good. Staff was great.

This is one of my daughter' favorite restaurants in tampa. The atomsphere is a great blending of the wonderful architecture of the Tampa History Center and period pieces from the Columbia. My daughter swears by the Mahi Mahi Cayo Hueso and my wife enjoys the Gazpacho although she recently tried a salmon special which she also enjoyed. The pork sandwich was really good but it is no longer on the menu.
The service is another matter. The wait staff is always pleasent but the service is rarely good. There doesn't appear to be a manager on the floor and the waiters do not help with the other waiter's tables. Our waiter was attending to tables on the patio downstairs and tables upstairs as well. It appears that the waiters also bus the tables as well as serving. The consequence was that we could not get drink refills while two waiters were hanging out around the bar. This should be fixable.

Food was excellent. So good that we went to another location the next day! Who knew a salad could be so terrific! The 1905 salad is a must do!! Everything was great - from the bread to the white chocolate bread pudding. Oh and the imported sangria is to die for. The white is just as good! Enjoy!!

My wife and I stopped her for lunch. The service was not bad, the waitress was friendly and helpful. The 1905 salad was absolutely fantastic (and I'm not a salad person!). Overall, an outdoor patio with good Cuban food and good service.
