My wife and her sister were a bit nervous about trying a Segway, but we immediately got comfortable and were scooting around in a few minutes. Tom, our guide, was low key and congenial and had basic knowledge of the area. Tampa's River Walk allowed us to enjoy the fantastic vistas of the U of Tampa's minarets and the wonderful park by the Tampa Museum of art and the Children's Museum.
Overall we had a blast and I would have rated it excellent except that we had requested a private outing, which had been verbally confirmed by Sharon on several occasions; but, when we arrived Tom was busy signing up two additional people. When asked what about our private tour status, there was really no reply other than words/actions to the affect "take it or leave it". We reluctantly took it and I'm really glad we did. I should also add that the two additional travelers to our group were delightful companions.
A previous poster expressed an outstanding idea of supplying wireless head sets so that a running commentary could be offered as we traveled along. This combined with a guide having a bit more knowledge of the area would make this already enjoyable outing a truly outstanding one.
