It is a big park with lost of space right in the heart of Tampa. There are trails, picnic areas, a dog park, work out equipment, and lots more. If you want to reserve a picnic area make sure you get there early because they fill up fast.

This park is 1 block north of Raymond James Stadium and on a main north south hwy. There are 2 distinctive loops. The northern loop will take you through a forested area along a boardwalk around the main lake where you will see much wildlife in mornings and evenings. Many birds and mammals call this small wild area home. The southern loop is great for strollers, biking, running or just taking a comfortable stool. Take water! There are fountains, bathrooms, pavilions for rent, and a real nice fenced dog park. Large fields in the Southern loop are great for large events.

Good sized fenced area for large breed dogs, smaller run for tiny pooches.

I have been to Al Lopez Park many times before. It is a really good park for not having to pay to get in. They keep it well kept and are always full of people. They have multiple playgrounds and walking trails. There is even an exercise place on the jogging trail. Please come to this beautiful park.
