“A Beautiful Ride”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

Riding around Bayshore Blvd. is beautiful and relaxing. You can see the dolphins jumping around and huge fish. My grandson got a kick out of that!

“Probably the best waterfront trail for Tampa, but not Tampa Bay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Tampa has a lot of waterfront, but unfortunately most of it isn't public and what is public generally isn't nice. Bayshore Blvd is the exception.

Pros:
As others have noted, it's a nice place to go for a walk, rollerblade, or bike. No real dedicated parking, but there are plenty of side streets you can park on.

Cons:
No restroom facilities
No shade
Sea water smells quite foul near Davis Island/Tampa General Hospital.

Instead of going here, I'd suggest heading over to Downtown St. Petersburg's Northshore Park. Not only does Northshore Park have shade and abundant restrooms along the way, it also has tennis courts, swimming facilities, a beach, baseball fields, boat ramp, and a dog park. It also has a trail which runs from Coffee Pot Bayou to The Pier. The trail naturally flows into Vinoy Park and Straub Park. It's far more relaxing and enjoyable than being on a strip of sidewalk next to busy Bayshore Blvd. And you can still see plenty of dolphins at Northshore Park.

“Very busy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

bayshore blvd is becoming more and more crowded since they remodeled the whole thing. along with the people speeding along the road i believe that its becoming more of a hazard to people on bikes or walking.

“So pretty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

Bayshore Blvd is a lovely road on Tampa. Lots of people biking, jogging and roller blading here. There are beautiful homes that line the boulevard.

One can often see dolphins swimming through. Lots of benches and places to sit and relax. Parking is rough though as there is no actual parking area and while you may be able to find space on a side street or two, many of the side streets are for resident parking only and require a permit.
