“Clear River”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

The river snakes it's way through the old growth oaks and makes it's way to Tampa Bay. All sorts of wildlife, can be seen from Bald Eagles to Armadillos.

“Nature.”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

A poetic view of what Tampa, and the Hillsborough River looked like in days of yore. A beautiful backdrop of greens, trees and gators. Water washing over rocks is a nice song to listen to while walking on the many trails they have here. Dirt, boardwalks and bridges. I've never camped here so I can't attest to that, but I hear it's wonderful. For those who don't want to go deep in the woods they also have bike rentals and a pool. Along with canoe rentals to experience the great river.

“Brown water, Birds and alligators”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Take a float trip down this river any day of the year. The northern reaches (east of I-75) have plenty of shade for even a scorching summer's day. Early spring is a delight - many birds nest nearby and can be heard and seen along the river.
The water is slow and cool. The gators likewise. Lots of insects as the weather warms up, though - bring plenty of repellent.
