Great trails, excellent RV park. Be sure to hike the suspension bridge and search the river for the armoed catfish.

This river is average. It is brown and polluted. For a canoe or kayak trip, it works. I would search out other rivers if possible.

It is a great place to go canoeing. We took a trip with a rental company that drops us off with the canoe and picks us up down river. They gave us different times for pick up. We started early so we could take our time since we haven't canoed in over twenty years. We just made the last pick up. So give yourself penty of time to enjoy the sites and get away from the busy world. It was a great place to get close to nature. We saw a lot of turtles, baby aligaters and different kinds of birds. Bring lots of water, off, sunscreen and maybe a picnic foods.

North of USF the river is just beautiful and full of wildlife. I do not suggest you paddle in March or April as it is alligator mating and nesting time then. From state park to Morris Bridge there may be obstacles and very low water. Canoe Escapes rents canoes and kayaks riverside from 2 locations.
