Description: We are omnivores — carnivorous, chocolate-loving, bacon-hoarding, wineauxs, beer geeks, curd nerds and yes, even vegetarians. Together we are shamelessly unapologetic flavor crusaders and Datz is our playground. An american gastropub + market dishing up regional comfort food favorites generously paired with craft beer, boutique wine and artisanal cheese. Served with ample sides of culinary education and entertainment in a spirited, ever-evolving environment. After all, we believe ordinary belongs in the dictionary, not in a restaurant. Especially ours.

Enjoyed a great lunch yesterday at Datz. Dani the server was great and super helpful. The crab/corn soup was huge and yummy. The Ban Mi toco's were a great idea. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will return.

Don't just pass by Datz because it looks like a donut shop from the road; we've been doing just that. Saturday, we were taken there by locals ... and ... what a great place ... social atmosphere, open yet cozy layout, warm ambiance in decor, really fun! The beer, wine, alcohol list with it's detailed taste descriptions was a great touch. Found it hard to make a final decision on what to eat as the menu is well put together and all - quite tantalizing. Everything came out as described and deliciously tasty. If you're in South Tampa - be sure to stop by - you will be pleasingly surprised!

I'll start off by saying that I'm surprised at some of the petty complaints. To each his own. We were told that the wait would be 30 mins but ended up being a little over an hr. Our waitress apologized profusely for it though. We also occupied our time chatting and enjoying the area. The food was amazing. They don't advertise a healthy menu so those are moot complaints. There are many restaurants in the area that promote healthy eating. They honored a military discount without us even asking. When I showed my ID for something else, the waitress remembered. Melissa was our waitress and I've never had great service like that before. We eat out a lot and usually people in popular, busy restaurants are not hospitable in the way she was. We will be back! The food was spectacular.

I'll start with the downside of the Datz's Deli experience and that is the insufficient parking and the long wait to get seated. On several previous visits we could not find parking and wound up eating elsewhere. Today we found a parking space down the block and had the time to wait and it was worth it. My wife and I both had Rueben's served with Datz potato chips (freshly made). The sandwiches were delicious and too big to eat all at once. We had leftovers to take home. Our daughter and a vegetarian dish which she enjoyed. The dessert counter included many types of cheese cakes and other delicacies which we had to pass on. The service was both friendly and excellent but a little slow because of the kitchen and not the server (Laura) who was great.
