Description: We are omnivores — carnivorous, chocolate-loving, bacon-hoarding, wineauxs, beer geeks, curd nerds and yes, even vegetarians. Together we are shamelessly unapologetic flavor crusaders and Datz is our playground. An american gastropub + market dishing up regional comfort food favorites generously paired with craft beer, boutique wine and artisanal cheese. Served with ample sides of culinary education and entertainment in a spirited, ever-evolving environment. After all, we believe ordinary belongs in the dictionary, not in a restaurant. Especially ours.

Had dinner here with 11 adult friends celebrating a birthday on a Saturday night. Reservation was for 9:15, we were sat around 10:15. No concerns, management provided three free appetizer dishes, unsolicited, during the wait. Mixed drinks were awesome, but expensive for the size. Beer selection perfect and atmosphere great. Dinner was excellent for all but three of us. Three ordered the 12oz ribeye steak medium rare but they came out medium to medium well and were tough. It looked like the steaks were cooked in a skillet. Afterwards when talking, we all agreed the steak was in no way ribeye and looked/tasted like cheap sirloins. We did not care to complain as it was so late and due to the long wait, the manager gave everyone a card for a free meal, unsolicited. Ok, so we were in a "deli" and some said we should have known better. The only reason we ordered steak is because one of the three said they had the best NY strip ever a while back. We will be back, but no steak the next time. Also, our friend had his car towed and paid a $165 bill to get it back at midnight. Do NOT PARK behind the apartments or adjoining bakery to the north, only along the northern wall of Datz or in front of Datz.

Had dinner here with friends before the Patriots/Bucs preseason game. The waitress despite telling us she had worked there for a long time struggled mightily with the beer list. She couldnt really tell us much about any of them. The beer list is however very nice with a diverse selection of craft beers. I asked about a succotash thats served with the ribeye and she struggled again to name its ingredients. She said theres something red in it which is either tomato or pepper. The poppers appetizer with neuske bacon was good. The server who delivered the food said i dont really know my table numbers, is this yours? The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare so the food was again a good value. It was however more firm than a great marblized ribeye. It ate more like a NY Strip.
All in all, the food was B+ and the decor and beverage offerings were a solid A. The service was C- at best. If you're a casual diner you may love it, but if you're looking for attention to detail and top notch execution you may find the staff gets in the way of a truly great value.

Love Datz! Whenever I'm in Tampa I go there. Great for breakfast and lunch. I've never been for dinner but I bet it's great too. They have a good selection of beer and wine. Great friendly service and awesome food.

This place ROCKS on all levels...the food, the drinks, the atmo, the people, you get the idea. Must have tried a dozen menu items, and the ALL were fantastic. The bacon bloody mary was a hit with all those that tried it. Mike the bartender was so cool, so knowledgeable in mixology and made sitting at the bar to dine a good time. We eventually had seven of us hanging out at the bar, drinking, eating, almost our own buffet style thing going on. They sell some of their liquors and honey they produce on their own farm. Don't be put off by the name, it's not really a deli, but a not to be missed dining experience.
