Owner description: Do you see yourself looking over the vast Serengeti plains, searching the horizon for a glimpse of a pride of Lions, or a Leopard lounging in the trees? Do you imagine yourself in India, riding an elephant through the high grass with your eyes peeled for the elusive Tiger? Have you ever thought how great it would be to hike through the rainforest, listening to the tropical birds, ever on the lookout for a Leopard or an Ocelot high in the canopy? Have you ever been to the zoo and wanted to be closer to the exotic cats; so close you could almost touch them? You don't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to make these dreams come true. The world's largest accredited big cat rescue facility is right here in Tampa, Florida at Big Cat Rescue.

This tour was provided for our group during a business trip to the Tampa area. We were so pleased that we took the time to go and see these beautiful animals and hear their stories.

Please make the time to take this tour if given the chance. The guides are very passionate about these animals, who they truly care for in a very personal way.

Some of the stories are truly heartbreaking about the way some of these animals have been treated, (you hear about these on the adult tour, not on the child's tour).

The grounds are well maintained and you can see the volunteers pitching in to help.

Take the time to take this tour and enjoy the new life these animals are able to have.

This is a wonderful cause with wonderful people. Everyone here is committed to the welfare of the cats. Carol and Jamie are one of a kind with a heart as big as the sun. What a pleasure we had wandering through the habitats and learning so many things about the wild cats. Thanks for a great experience.

Great to visit including with children. Learn about are given to cats. Parking is convenient. Discount coupons are available. Visitors are placed in small groups so as not to overwhelm the animals.

We took the standard 1 1/2 tour of the Big cat rescue and enjoyed it immensely. Our guide was Denny and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot. This organization does wonderful work in rescuing large cats that had been pets or circus animals and abandoned by their owners. This is a non profit and all of the workers are volunteers or Interns. Quite a variety to see plus you get to see them fairly close up. Highly recommend
