This park is part of the Busch Gardens and Sea World Group. This water park is located directly across the street from Busch Gardens. Admission is average but it is much cheaper if you do a combination ticket with Busch Gardens. There are lots of rides for all ages and interests. They have multiple areas for toddlers, teens and adults. There is a picnic area to bring your coolers and lunches. There is also white sand volleyball courts, lockers and plenty of beach chairs. Cabanas are available for rent by the day at an extra charge.

Adventure Island is clearly designed for the whole family. They have worked hard to create a beach atmosphere with lots of sand. Arrive early to pick a shady spot remembering to note where the shade will be later in the day. Though dated in some ways, there are a variety of experiences. The lazy river has a real current to it and two loops (one with an almost tropical experience by going through a misty greenhouse). The water slides required lots and lots of stairs. Since it wasn't busy there was no waiting as you climbed. The corkscrew was an enclosed tube and clearly the most daunting of the ones we tried (2 slides were closed for the day due to lack of staff--we wished that had been noted on our way in). Our favorite area turned out to be near the front just by our chairs---a pool where you could actually jump off psuedo cliffs and be dumped five feet above the water by small tubes and do a miniature version of "Wipeout" by trying to cross on small floats. There was a wave pool and a children's area. We did not like the fact that you do not get money back for your key deposit, but a credit to use in the park. Since turning your key in is the last thing you do for the day, it forced you to go and buy something when all you want to do is leave.
Parking fee of $12 where the parking lot is very hilly (not flat).
Food was very expensive.
There is some wheelchair accessibility to the slides themselves.

Very large park with many ride choices. The park is a bit dated in comparison to Orlando parks, but the value is great. We went at the end of August and it was not busy. The staff is very friendly.
Lots of ride choices, and lots of food choices.
There are also many rides for the kids who are 42" tall. Most other parks offer similar rides for 48" and taller kids.
We really enjoyed our visit and will be back again.

Kids (15 and 9) were super excited to go to the water park in July. Park was crowded, but what can you expect in the hot Florida sun in July. Park wasn't the cleanest and rules weren't enforced but park workers except in the pools.
Tickets weren't typical park attraction prices. Food was super expensive. We would visit the park again, but only if we couldn't get to Aquatica.
The rides are enjoyable. Kids liked jumping from the platforms into the deep water. Arrive early to get shady spot for relaxing while eating lunch.
