“Nice waterpark, aquatica might have spoiled us”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

We just returned from a 16 day trip from Maryland down to Atlanta, then to Savannah, down to Orlando, to Tampa, and then up to St. Simon Island, and back to Maryland. We will be doing reviews for many of our stops. Just a bit about us. We are a couple in our 40s and have two kids aged 4 and 9 who are seasoned travelers and who have easy going personalities. This was our fourth trip to Orlando in the past 6 years, but the first time we have done the non-disney attractions. It was also our first trip to Tampa.

I think if we would have gone to Adventure Island before Aquatica we would have enjoyed it more. Aquatica really spoiled us. Adventure Island had nice kids areas, that were good for both our 4 and 9 year old. There were pools with slide areas, and the now required at waterparks giant bucket of water on your head area. The lazy river was good, but no 'fast' lazy river like the one at Aquatica. The food was good and reasonably priced, the Seaworld/Busch Garden parks do a great job with the food in my opinion.

“Okay, but can use a little updated rides and slides”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We have annual pass for Busch Garden, Seaworld, and Adventure Island because my friends seems to enjoy taking their kids to this park and it's closer to use then Orlando.

After been to some REAL water parks at Wisconsin, I guess I simply can not stop myself from comparing it to the Wilderness Resort at Wisconsin and the Dell. The rides and slides needs some updates. It's rather old and somewhat boring for most teens or adults. The waits are not bad at all. the kids seems to be able to get their turn rather quick. The place take about 20 minutes walk to see it all. It's not a bad place to take the kids if you can get a discounted ticket or the annual pass to make it worth while. I do suggest to other theme parks.

“Great Waterpark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

This is a fun waterpark for kids of all ages, lots of fun for all .. The gift shop is not too expensive so you can get a nice t-shirt for about 15.99. Washrooms are clean and at different places in the park so that you don't have to walk to the other end of the park and then wait in a line up ( especially us girls) Food was good and you can bring in a food cooler or/and drinks as long as the cooler is no bigger than 15 X 15 inches. If you have a bigger cooler, you may leave it in your car and then at some point , go to your car and there are eating areas outside the park for your own picnic. Go you will enjoy your time there !

“Fun place for the family - cabanas are a plus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

We went as a group with younger kids, young adults, and parents, and had a great time. Good variety of rides, and lines weren't too bad even though it was a Saturday in the summer. Having booked a cabana was a wise choice - it gave us a place to hang out between adventures (pricey, though), a place to lock up purses and phones, and a chance to get out of the sun. Like others, I would recommend water shoes. And lots of sunscreen. A couple of rides gave some of our parties small injuries - rashes, cut hands. There appears to be a few maintenance needs, but overall things appeared fairly safe. The Lazy River was a big favorite, with or without the tubes. I would go back.

“Refreshing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

Always a fun place to visit. It is crowded on the weekends so go during the week not during summer or spring break if you do not like crowds. The wave pool and lazy river are much fun. Dont forget to wear water shoes it helps a lot as the cement gets warm and sometimes your feet get sore
