Lots to do and see. Great for people watching. As it got later it seemed less safe but we had no issues.

Great fun to come here in the evening. Would start with dinner at Restaurant Columbia on 7th Ave and then go bar hopping or karaoke singing if you are so inclined. Lots of small cigar stores with their own manufacturing along 7th Ave if you are into that.

Ybor City is loaded with bars, tattoo parlors, and cigar shops. I wouldn't suggest you taking that kids to Ybor as they will be very bored as there is nothing for them to do. I did enjoy a handmade cigar during my visit but that was about it.

Once a cigar capital, Ybor City is morphing into a community for the “hipster” and alternative crowd. That being said, it seemed very family friendIy (especially during the day). I see great potential for this area, especially with the talk of the Tampa Bay Rays new stadium being built here. It’s an up and coming area with dozens of restaurants, a shopping center area, movie theater, nightclubs, cigar shops, and tattoo parlors galore. Enjoyed the vibe and local flavor of the community during our visit and can’t wait to see how it grows and thrives.
