We took an Uber there Sunday morning and realized it was a bad choice. We walked 5 blocks and saw nothing but bars and homeless or drunks sleeping on the ground in corridors. It must be a Cruise Ship hangout. Very dirty place.

We went to Ybor City looking for something to do... Boy did we find it. There happened to be a car show and a inside concert while we were there so it allowed for a fun experience. We went to Acropolis which was super fresh and yum but huge portions!! Easy to order gluten friendly. We also went to Chillum and learned a ton about CBD oil and it’s uses from a very friendly staff. A great visit!!

I find the safest the time to go there is around 6 pm to 11 pm. During the week not a large crowd and great time to see a movie and get a delicious bite to eat. Can be dicey after midnight.

We decided to visit this area during our trip to Tampa. Very neat little area to walk around with a lot of places to eat and drink. The trolley is free and takes you all the way downtown to the riverwalk area of Tampa. Worth the trip to check it out.

I liked this neighborhood. Was almost tripped by a random chicken but hey. Lots of cigar smoke around.

I took my kids to see Ybor City in hopes of showing them a more authentic and unique side of Tampa. I would like to return and try again, but our visit was not so successful. The main public public parking lot is located too far from the main sprawl of shops/restaurants and we ended up walking the wrong way and only found a massive Scientology compound. We doubled back and finally found the shops/restaurants. We were there fairly early (11am) on a weekend and there was more than one vomit-stained doorway thanks to what appear to be many bars and nightclubs. We eventually found some things of interest but my kids were pretty much done by then. I hope to come back and try again!

Ybor is the raw roots of Tampa Bay .The place was built by immigrants from many countries around the world. Is old and modern with a bohemian twist. Cigars bars al fresco with espresso cafe.
Open bars and happy faces celebrating !
Ybor always has an event on going... many restaurants and nightlife.
I love the area to walk and try different places.
The main square also has a movie theater and games centers .
Ybor is great for everyone depending on the time of the day or night !
The trolley can transport to the channelside area in no time to Downtown and it's beautiful sites.
Historic Ybor is our own pride and joy. Where so many immigrants settled bringing their trade and experience to a new era. Tabaco was the growing industry coming from other country such as Cuba.
ItalIans and Germans contributed to this area full of flavor and good tradition.
The Centennial Park is the center of attraction for many historical events that weekly are honored by the city.

Ybor city is so unique. With all the little eclectic shops and food and cigar shops. We saw chickens just walking the streets. Such a neat experience.

The area looks amazing! Lots of beautiful old buildings and great bars and restaurants. During a weekday it's pretty quiet, so going there in the evening / weekend will be more entertaining!
