Owner description: Go from tree level to sea level while being entertained and educated at The Florida Aquarium! With thousands of animals and plants including sharks, alligators, seahorses and more, you’re sure to have an amazing aquatic experience. Begin your Aquarium adventure on our Florida Wetlands Trail. Winding through a vast mangrove forest, you’ll encounter river otters, free-flying birds and native fish. Continue to the second floor of the Wetlands gallery and enter Journey to Madagascar. Filled with Ring-tailed Lemurs, hissing cockroaches and colorful chameleons, this exhibit captures the unique Island of Madagascar and the diverse animals that call it home. The next part on your journey will take you through Bays & Beaches where you’ll discover a Goliath Grouper and other species that call Tampa Bay home. As you travel onward you’ll descend deeper into aquatic environments where you’ll discover stingrays, reef fishes, sea turtles and our massive sand tiger sharks!

Wonderful experience walking around "beneath" the sea, amongst the spectacular living habitat. A very welcome addition to Tampa, expanding its culture and tourism. Moderately priced.

Have visited the Aquarium numerous times and always great to visit on bad weather days. Small aquarium but nice, take your time and enjoy your surroundings. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the exhibits. If you have kids, the water park area is great for them so bring swim trunks. Can even have a beer at bar located in same area as kids water area. Aquarium is clean and employees are pleasant. Met a manager named Brian who was great and made sure everything was ok with our visit.

I am an adult and I was not excited about any of the fish they have. I know we are in Florida, but the most exciting part of the aquarium was the sea horses, they are colorful and interesting, the rest of the aquarium is not that fun, there is a tank with crocodiles, there is a touch tank for the kids, but nothing to keep them interested.

Well worth a visit particularly if you have children on board.
Information on each exhibit was clear and staff were helpful.
Touch tank is a good idea but only has stingrays - it would be a much better exhibit if other species were also available for the kids.
However a very enjoyable couple of hours - it would not hold interest for much more than that.

Quite frankly, other than the sharks & the starfish, it was just boring. Definitely not worth the price. Not much more to say, since there was not much more to do....
