“Season passport holders for 5 years and not stopping!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

We've gone here for at least 10 times a year for the past 5 years.
Passport holders are the way to go. You get free parking-($15), 10% discount on everything you buy, and you can come and go as you please. We like going to summer nights as a date night, since our kids can't ride all the roller coasters we do, so we can catch all the adult-sized fun. They also offer an additional 10% in savings to dine at a restaurant after 5 pm. 20% savings for passport holders on a meal makes for a reasonable priced dinner comparable to the average restaurant in town.
I kinda miss the free beer samples since the park was sold by Anheiser Busch. I think the beer prices are a little steep.
The shows are never disappointing. They change them up with lots of new variety and always have a moral to better living. This is a great park for all ages, as they don't have younger age group rides and attractions all grouped together in one spot. They have an area dedicated to small kids with a Sesame Street theme, but there's also things to keep younger interests spread throughout the park giving the whole family something to see or do anywhere in the park.
They often do concert series throughout the year, with something for everyone. Latin, Country, Blues, and Christian music artists, often featuring top artists- all included with park admission. We have seen Kenny Rogers, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Brandon Heath, just to name a few over the past years.
Plan to go during the fall, which is clearly the slowest time of the year with less lines and better weather.

“Not like past visits”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

I have been to this park 3 times before and had great experiences each time. This last visit just seemed like we were there while every employee was having a bad day. We had a good time but almost every interaction with an employees was less than favorable. Most of the employees there didn't smile. They all looked and acted like they didn't want to be there. We even got into several arguments with one them over whether a small child was tall enough to ride or not. We made sure he was at the front of the entrance to the ride only to have us told by the ride attendant he was not tall enough without them even checking him. They had a attitude and made a big deal out of it and made everyone in line wait while they checked him several times. He was over the mark and was allowed to ride.
That pretty much seem to set the tone for the day. We had gotten the dining plan and simply wanted to get a bottle of water before the park closed. We were waiting in line and then were told that restaurant was now closed. We were then directed to another line and after waiting in that line was told we would have to pay. I had to go and get the manager that sent us over there in the first place before we got our water. I know they were changing over to for Howl-O-Scream but they should take care of all their customers first. Very poor, unfriendly service.
The all day dining plan apparently isn't all day. It is only while the restaurants are open and that is what the sign reads inside the park. It would be nice to have hours posted in front of the restaurant or on the map. Maybe I missed something, I don't know.
Don't get me wrong, we did have a good time. It could of been a great time or even the best time but it was not. The line for rides were short and the attendants at Montu & Serengeti Railway were great!
I will not hurry back after this visit.

“The animals, rides, food, and commute were all well worth the price and time!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

The season pass allows unlimited visits to the park for 1 year. Fl residents get a discount and pass upgrades for parking or concessions are available.

The park has tons of animals, many shows, and awesome rides! There is something for people of all ages to enjoy.

We just left Howl-o-Scream and it was FANTASTIC! With the season passes, we were able to receive a discounted entry into the event. The Fright Feast and show Fiends was well worth the extra money. The food at the buffet was soooo good!! The show "Fiends" was hilarious!! Along with the purchase of the Feast, we received front of the line admission to haunted houses and rides. We were able to go through 5 of the 6 haunted houses within the allotted timeframe for the front line admission.

I would absolutely refer folks to visit this park. :)

“The park is old and needs some cleaning up.”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Some of the animal viewings are further back and you really cannot see them close up unless youpay extra to take the safari exhibit. I feel that if you pay good money to get into the parks why do you have to pay extra to see the animals up close? Or at least make it a little less expensive. I don't know how families can afford to do it all.
