Stayed here for one night. It's an older property, but despite its age, it's very well kept. The value for the room was well worth it. I'd stay here again if I needed a budget price to stay. Breakfast was decent enough food, especially considering it was free with the room.
Service was great, breakfast outstanding, guess I should have a little more tolerance as the hotel was under renovation (rooms). But as a king size bed my room seemed to small, had no place to put my suitcase, had a hard time getting around room. room was a little dingy but guess it was in line to receive new carpet etc. Thought I had made pre payment lowest possible reservations and found a couple of days before my trip that the rates had gone down but did not effect me.
My first impression of this hotel was with the representative at the front desk. I wish I could remember her name so I personally thank her! We booked this hotel after a very last-minute decision to stay a night in Tallahassee and had no idea what was in the area or what we could do with our three kids until bedtime. Not only did she direct us to a fun family spot about a 1/4 mile away, but also gave us enough free mini-golf games for the entire family. It was our youngest sons first experience with mini-golf and he had a blast! Our room was nice and clean (even the bedspreads were freshly washed) and had all of the typical amenities (coffe pot, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, iron, cable TV, etc.) and the temperature in the room was comfortable. The continental breakfast was somewhat of a mess due to the three families that took over the entire eating area and saved NO room for any other guests. This was not the fault of the hotel or staff though. The representative working that morning was very patient with all of the families since we were traveling the day before Christmas eve. She made waffles for all of the children (about 9 of them) and did it with a smile. Definitely a good stay!
Reading some of these rewiews make me mad. Seems like some people are just out to get others. We have stayed there several times, For 50-60 dollars a night you cant beat it. It may be an older hotel but well kept up and clean... Includes free wifi (a must to have these days) full cable, free breakfast, great pool, late checkouts if its needed. All the staff was great house keepers did there job well. Enjoyed our stay, Loved that the front desk clerks were so friendly. Enjoyed the fact that we coud eat and also carry on good conversations with the moring girl Amanda. The manager Angie was also great... Overall a great stay, friendly staff, n well kept up rooms to be an older hotel!!! My wife, kids, and myself will be back soon....
