I stayed at the Inn for my wedding and the staff and accomodations are first class. Everything was perfect. Plus that area of downtown is perfect for dining and nightlife. I also put guests up there when they visit down and don't want to stay at a hotel. Excellent property.

I decided on this hotel because of its proximity to the capital and FSU School of Law, but I will never stay here again for three main reasons:
1. The rooms were small and there were no windows. The "windows" looked out into a hallway. The lobby is also small. They serve breakfast in it in the morning and it was too small to accommodate even a portion of the guests that were trying to take advantage of the free breakfast.
2. The hallway was noisy. I could hear people coming and going well into the night.
3. The bed was not at all comfortable.

This Hotel needs a major renovation. The rooms/bathrooms are old with little water pressure and no hot water( when others showering)Was told they have to redo the plumbing. The person parking cars and getting you ice works the front desk and I believe serves drinks as well. Very noisy in the morning and night because of the room locations to lobby. Breakfast prep stars @ 6am so if your room is close by the lobby you are up. NO ice machine. Never did get ice. Very disappointed. I stayed at the Doubletree trip before and thought it was ok until now. Doubletree was far superior. Trust Me.

In Tallahassee on a business/personal event trip and needed to be near Florida state government buildings and was told that the Governor's Inn has a great location and a great place to stay. First, it is in fact, a great location. However, I dont think that it is a great place to stay. It is expensive. The place is old and is historical (not a surprise). The rooms have shown a lot of wear and tear. The beds are large but high off the ground. I'm over 6'1" tall and had to almost jump-up to get on the bed. The place is very noisy at night. On the plus side they have a cocktail hour at 5PM in the lobby which was very intimate and nicely done and is very well presented even if not a drinker. All and all I would not stay there again if I had tgo go to Tallahassee.. The Doubletree is 1-1/2 blocks away and I was told is a better bargain
