Had stayed at this location in April when we went to tour FSU campus then again in May for orientation.
Hands down this hotel is great for its class! Very clean. Friendly staff. Shuttle from airport and shuttle to anywhere on FSU campus.
Good selection for breakfast!
Only downfall is prices vary so much! Wish they would honor FSU prices to loyal parents who want to make this hotel the go to hotel when visiting their student in Tally instead of pricing around.
I do recommend it. But can’t afford it for move-in or parents weekend so have to give my business to another hotel.

Only negative was $15 parking but they have a free shuttle if you don’t get a car. Nice rooms, clean and simple. Gym was ok. Pool area and hot tub very nice. Liked the breakfast-hot with teal eggs, sausage, fruit, etc. Happy hour weeknights a pleasant surprise with good local beer and wine and tasty appetizers. We will stay here again for FSU trips. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Summer FSU tour with our sons and as we are regular Marriott guests we picked this Residence Inn. Great breakfast, staff and rooms. The first night the train whistle at 3 am had us up and work traffic with construction trucks started the morning early. We asked for a room change and were moved across the hall and upgraded to a larger room. Staff did all they could do to accommodate us except shutting down the pool party that went on until 1 am when the pool closed at 10. It was so loud I thought the television was on in the suite space Bring your earplugs and brave the noise for a convenient campus location

Cynthia W,

Thank you for the wonderful comments regarding our rooms, breakfast and most importantly the service provided by our staff. The Team was most disappointed to hear of your negative experience with the intrusive neighborhood noise! It is true we are located on the corner of Gaines and Railroad Ave. To be exact we are located about 1 block to the north of the railroad. Fortunately the trains keep a very irregular schedule; on occasion it may pass on the overnight. The whistle blowing in the distance can be a little disruptive to some that are light sleepers. Despite the occasional neighborhood noise intrusion, many of our travelers choose our hotel because of our location; directly adjacent to the FSU campus. The Gaines Street area is Tallahassee’s premier arts and entertainment district with many dining and entertainment option located steps outside our door. In addition you may find the eclectic area of Railroad Square just a block to our South. This area is a gathering of converted rail warehouses functioning as art studios for our local artist community. FSU’s 15,000 seat Tucker Center arena is directly across the street and the 90,000 seat Doak Campbell Stadium is a fun game day’s walk to our west. We hope you may accept our team’s apology as we completely understand this level of 24/7 activity may not be for everyone. We hope you may soon be back so we may show you all that our wonderful neighborhood has to offer!

Warm Regards,
Keith Hoogerheyde
General Manager

This is an excellent choice for a weekend stay in this class of hotel. Located on the end of the new College Town area, it is convenient for families and business travelers. The room was spacious and very clean. The front was pleasant quick to check me in. The free breakfast was fresh and flavorful.

As a Hilton rewards member you will also receive a notable discount and expedited check-in. I use the free app which is well done and increase convenience when traveling.

Check in was efficient, all employees are nice and professional. Lobby is nicely done, no bar area that we saw which is a little surprising. There was a pretty good complementary breakfast. Room was a very good size, with a kitchenette, regular size refrigerator, table and couch with a (about 42") TV that swiveled between the bed and living area. Good channel selection and picture. Couldn't get the guide to work. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in, in a hotel, along with the pillows. Bathroom sink outside the tub area which is always nice. Free WiFi. Hotel is in a very convenient location if you are doing something at FSU. We were there for Orientation and walked each day, it is about 4-5 blocks to the main campus and to College Town and about 2 blocks from the Civic Arena. Close to the stadium for games, but the cost is prohibitive for most folks on game weekends. Cost is more reasonable at other times.

Room Tip: Maybe away from the center where the elevators are.
