We have seen many restuarants in Tallahassee come and go especially Mexican. This has been here many years and the owner is always working as you check out, same waiters for many years and same consistent menu. Many choices and if you have special requests the cook will cater to your food likes/dislikes i.e., I don't like pico (tomatoes, jalapeno, cilantro) on my mexican chicken (fried chicken strips with melted cheese) so they put it on the side. While pregnant I couldn't eat spicy so they have a wonderful fajita chicken strip quesa dia (cheese burrito similar to a grilled cheese) and I have the grilled onion on the side. The tomatoes, lettuce, grilled onions, etc. are fresh and delicious. The flavors, marinade they use is tasty not too spicy but plenty of flavor authentic mexican. We enjoy sitting outside there is a nice covered area with plenty of seating. The waiters have worked here for many years and it has a cozy comfortable atomosphere. The restuarant is tucked away good prices, big portions and plenty of daily specials. Lunch menu is a good value, they close from 2:00-5:00 except on Saturday and Sunday they stay open all day. It's nice to shop or run errands then sit ouside, let the kids play in the courtyard, relax and enjoy a good meal. Tuesday kids eat free.

I have met some friends here for lunch during the work week several times and it has very good food at reasonable prices. The best thing is that this place is never crowded during lunch. Plus, as an added bonus, the servers are helpful and friendly.

There is just a small parking lot for this restaurant with more parking at the Laundromat next door. The beige walls are decorated with items that remind you of old Mexico. There is outside seating where you can smoke if you must. Meals are served with ample chips and salsa which is a little on the hot side. The chicken chimichangas and shrimp fajita salads are very good. The sprites here are among the best in Tallahassee (good mix of syrup and water). A variety of beers are also available. The servers are very polite and friendly. The bathrooms are on the small side. All in all this is a nice mom and pop place that serves very good authentic Mexican food.

We went with a group of four adults and one toddler on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We found the menu to be diverse and appealing. there was something for everyone. There were plenty of smaller single item choices as well as the larger combo plates of your standard mexican fare, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, and the like. The waiter upsold us on the pitcher of margarita instead of the single glasses, but it was a great deal, so thanks! I order the four enchilada plate that included one each of beef, chicken, bean, and cheese enchiladas with enchilada sauce, lettuce tomato and sour cream. The beef and chicken were both very good, but th plain cheese was totally unremarkable. My son loved his child portion quesadilla. The atmosphere and decor were what you'd expect from a family owned mexican restaurant with murals and chotchkeys. There service was quick and friendly and the prices were very reasonable.

There are quite a few Mexican places around town that you may not have noticed or considered this one but it's worth the effort. The place is small but offers good tasty authentic food and generous drinks. The San Miguel Chile Relleno (chile pepper stuffed with shrimp) was very good. They also offered other specialty dishes and vegetarian dishes aside from the usual. Seems to be pretty kid friendly. The only thing I could quibble about was that the outdoor space could have been a little more decorated (so many beautiful flowers grow here) and I was a little confused about the use of plastic dishware in a nicer casual restaurant. Other than that the service was nice and efficient and dining there is a nice way to de-stress from the day.
