Description: Georgio's Fine Food & Spirits is an upscale family owned establishment specializing in fresh local seafood and hand cut USDA prime beef steaks. Our eclectic menu highlights proprietor George Koikos's Greek roots with our large section of Mediterranean dishes, international wines, craft brews and top notch spirits. Mr Koikos has owned restaurants in Tallahassee Florida for over 50 years and believes in doing things the old fashioned way without shortcuts. Everything on our menu is made in house from scratch using the finest ingredients available. We have several private banquet spaces that can seat from 6-76 guests and are perfect for hosting any special occasion or business meeting. Our warm and knowledgeable staff will make you feel at home and you can expect to be greeted by a family member while dining with us...most likely George himself or his daughter Eleni. Here at Georgio's you come for the food and leave our friend. We look forward to seeing you at Georio's soon!

A mainstay in Tally, now with two locations -Torreya Grille is now also a Georgio's with all the associated offerings, including fresh bread baked onsite daily. Meals are full of flavor, large portions and fresh! Includes steak, seafood and Oso Bucco! One of, if not the TOP restaurants in Tally for a nite out for two or family gatherings. Only wish it was open for lunch!

We stayed in a hotel round the corner and came here every night for a drink so we didn't have to drive and twice for a meal. There is a good choice of beer on tap and an eclectic choice of bottled beers from around the world. Andy, Jennifer and Vince served us at the bar and all were very attentive.Andy, the ber tender the 1st night is a great bloke. Will chat about anything. Second night we had Jennifer, she likes her soccer (what we English call football), so a chat to a lady who likes the game is a good start. Vince knows his beers from his lemonades (you must try to get the Rochefort 10). They all made us feel welcome. Helena who runs it, she's a great girl too. Thanks for the beer samples in case I didn't thank you on the night?? It's a nice touch they all remembered our names.

The food is delicious. The stone crab claws were divine. The Grouper Nickoleta was really good. My wife had the shrimp & scallop Helena. I had to try it as it looked really good, and it was!! The second time we ate there I had the veal Scallopini which just melted in your mouth. We can't say about the desserts as we were too full to eat any more but Helena did give us a piece of, what I think was Chocolate cheesecake to take with us I was only allowed to lick the crumbs up from the dish as my wife devoured it all and she said it was to die for!! We would definitely go there if we ever visit that part of Florida again.

Also just a word to Jo and Stu, a couple of regulars, enjoy your trip to London!!

As corporate pilot's we travel all over the world and eat out 40+ times per month so we are pretty picky when it comes to what we eat. We read the reviews and were concerned about some of the negative comments, but decided to give Gerogios a try.
Our hotel was right beside the restuarant on Appalachee Pky so we walked over.
We were seated quickly and a waiter was at our table. The service was great. The food was great. My copilot had a salad with shrimp, I had Gorgonzola Chicken. We had a seared tuna app and desert to top it off. All was great.

We will be back. November 23, 2012

My wife and I had dinner at Georgio's on the Apalachee Parkway last night. The calamari appetizer was good but small. The salads were good but small. The stuffed grouper with crab meat wasn't stuffed grouper with crab meat. The flat and thin triangular pieces of fish seemed to be flounder, not grouper. There was no crab meat. The server said that she didn't know why it was called stuffed grouper because the crab was in the sauce. There was a sauce, but any crab in it couldn't be detected. The veggies consisted of a small amount of thin sliced squash. The bill was $69 minus tip, about twice what the meal was worth. It wasn't a memorable meal at all. It was certainly not "fine food" as Georgio's advertises itself to provide. On plus side, the hostess and server were very pleasant and the bread was very good. However, we won't be back anytime soon.

We eat at Georgio's at least once a week. Leni does a great job running the restaurant. We eat at the cozy bar with Vince, Jennifer or Andrew waiting on us, it is always a great evening. I love their Greek chicken noodle soup. All their bread is homemade. Their seafood is from local waters. The GROUPER NIKOLETA is one of our favorites, along with garlic stuffed filet mignon. We try to save room for baklava cheesecake.....yum!

We are big supporters of eating at locally owned restaurants and Georgio's has been one of Tallahaassee's "have to visit".
