“Unique sandwiches and desserts”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

Back in Ttown for the first time in 20 years and was pleased to discover Hopkins is still thriving. I had the classic Picnic sandwich (turkey, ham, potatoe salad, peas, tomatoes, onion, etc) and it was just as I remember it...wonderful! My wife had the Chunky Chicken Melt sandwich (cashew chicken salad, provolone, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoe, etc) and it was fantastic as well. For dessert, we had the equally delicious (and again, still around after 20 years) the Congo bar and the Heath Bar...unbelievably good. Great to see that some of the best things in life are classics and last a lifetime.

“Best sandwich in Tallahassee”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

My family has been eating at Hopkins (all locations) for 20+ years. It's a walk up counter with ample seating room in an air conditioned enviro with some seating outdoors. They have, without a doubt, the most extensive selection of unique sandwiches you'll find in town. My favorite is the Blackbird. It is fresh chunks of turkey, with sliced cucumber, lettuce, onions, black olives, cream cheese, and sesame seeds on a hot steamed whole wheat roll. I prefer mine on rye/pumpernickle swirl bread and delete the onions, add sprouts. Try the Guac too, it's been our family's favorite for years.
They have three locations now, so they are convenient to you on all sections of town, except the far west side. Very, very, fresh and tasty! They are locally owned and operated and have been one of Tallahassee's hidden gems forever!

“Unique and delicious menu”
Reviewed May 9, 2012

Used to order from there a lot for client lunches, and I've eaten there on my own several times. The service is just ok but the menu choices and quality of food are awesome. Love the Blackbird and so many other items on the menu. Wish they had another location other than the 2.

“Delicious Sandwiches”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

It's been a while since I went. Just getting around to reviewing. Have been there several times actually. Salads and sandwiches are great. Love the grilled salmon and grilled shirimp sandwich. Normally very busy. Long wait. But it's worth it. I have never been disappointed with the food.

“Don't miss out on the yummy soups!”
Reviewed August 29, 2011

My husband and I met at Hopkin's Eatery for a lunch date. The sandwiches were very good and different than many other chain restaurants but the soups were AMAZING! Don't miss out!
