Great museum depicting the history of Florida. Access was easy and easy to find. Off the i10 interstate. The Indian exhibit was extremely interesting! No crowds.

“What a great experience so close to home!”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

I did the "Soaring Cypress" Tree-to-Tree adventure this past saturday, and it was a much needed adventure! The staff at the Tallahassee Museum are so friendly and helpful, it was a breeze to learn how to do the obstacle course and zip-line and then proceed to climb through the trees for hours! For $40.00 it is well worth the cost! I have been telling everyone to go!

“Great time at Fall Farm Days”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

I have been wanting to see theTallahassee Museum for some time now, so today I stopped by not knowing they were doing their fall farm day. It was great. The sugar cane syrup making was interesting. Never knew how much work it takes to make cane syrup. The moonshine demonstration was informative. The man looked like a period 1800 moonshiner and knew a lot aboutt making whiskey and it's history. The museum with the animals was also great. Good to see native Florida animal in extra large enclosures and not put into cages. It took a while to find the bobcat, he was hiden in top of an oak tree. All in all this is a place I will come back to. Very enjoyable.

“What a gem”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

What a great time, my grandson (10) and I did the intermediate zip line course. He had a great time, the course requires a height of at least 54", we had tried last year but he didn't meet the height requirement. He told me today now he understood why they had the requirement.

After the zip line we took a walk throughout the habitat areas, as someone who avoids zoos, I was relieved to see the museum has made these enclosures as close to the animals natural habitat as possible, and not concrete pens.

They also have several historical buildings and a working blacksmith shop.

All the employees from the time you walk in through all the different attractions were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgable.

Very easy to spend almost an entire day here.
