Going to Fanny's at the Goodwood Museum is not just a lunch but an experience. Located in the "Rough" house building on the plantation grounds, it is surrounded by beautiful old trees, tables and umbrellas. It was busy when we got there at 11:30 they had a large party in one room that they were working on but we were quickly seated and served I might add. This is a cottage, the rooms are small and cozy. I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT, yummy and a lovely dessert of Apple crunch.
I think it is a great lunch place and really a destination too. You can walk the gardens at no charge and look at all the cute outbuildings. If you would like a tour of the house by one of the volunteer docents, it is $6.00 a piece and well worth it.
Reservations are not necessary but might be advised if you had a large group or had a time constraint.
