I've been going to Maclay Gardens my whole life. It's beautiful. A little bit Secret Garden meets family accessibility. I was married here, and we recently had maternity/family pictures taken here. There's a swimming area, and plenty of space to stretch out with a picnic, a book and a nap. Just wonderful.

This is a real special spot when visiting Tallahassee. My daughter had her bridal pictures shot here and it is so scenic and beautiful. Beautiful majestic oaks blend in with a variety of trees from palm, pine and magnolia. There is a brick walkway that traverses the middle of the park. You will want to come during blooming season to view all the wonderful Azalea and Camelia bushes, wall to wall sea pink and white. It is a great way to relax for a few hours and take in a wonderful part of nature. I try to go at least twice a year and take all our visitors to the park when they stop by. Great for couples.

This is a wonderful park for walking among azalea and camellia bushes. When the iris are blooming next to the water features it is pretty. There is onsite water recreation - canoes, etc. Have seen RV hook-up as well.

This is a great state park close to the state capital. There is a very nice lake with a small swimming area. The water is clear, and there is a beach area. A ramp provides access for boats. You can fish from a dock. Many trees provide plenty of shade if you want to stay out of the sun. Nearby are picnic tables and grills. The facilities are very nice with separate bathrooms and changing rooms.

It's just gardens, but man are they pretty. It's an easy walk, great gardens, nice landscape and benches. A secret garden, reflecting pool and gazebo were highlights for me.

It is obvious Mclay loved this area and made it beautiful. Worth the trip to this urban state park.
