If ever there was a tourist type nature slash ocean place to go this is it. Plenty to do & see. We only stayed for a small amount of time but we had a blast. Saw 4 Bald Eagles. Look foward to going back & planning a day trip. A definate must see if you are visiting Tallahassee. Worth the extra 25 miles.

What I liked was the stillness of the Park. The clearly marked paths to hike on, and the wildlife is in abundance. I also like the way the Florida Park Services set up the , and the Honor System for Admission. You slip money into the envelope, tear off the tab, and hang it on your rear view mirror.

The Lighthouse Is Magnificent in Stature. What I didn't like is no one is not allowed to tour its interior because the State has not allocated the money for this beauty to be restored. Being this Facility was used during the Civil War, its Importance shouldn't go unrecognized.

Came to St Marks to check out the wildlife, it was great! Got to see the Whooping Cranes arrive from from Wisconsin following the ultra light plane! Also saw lots of other birds and alligators. Great place to bicycle ride and hike during the cooler months.

The lighthouse was not open to the public but I believe that it is open a few times a year. Beautiful view of the bay and a public boat ramp for you to use. You may even see an alligator! Lot's wildlife and beautiful flowers and vegetation

It was as beautiful today as it was a year ago! A definite must see...the reviews are all correct! Hints: Take lunch...Gorgeous places to eat at picnic tables. Would be an unforgettable sunrise or sunset. Take bug spray. And finally, maybe take wet wipes or water to wash your hands. Bathroom water is brown in the toilets and sinks with a warning sign that you can't drink it. I didn't even want to wash my hands in it.
