Owner description: The mirrored walls of the Tallahassee Automobile Museum enclose more than just automobiles! This 100,000 sf. facility houses cars, trucks and memorabilia of all kinds. In addition to the antique cars, muscle cars, concept cars, and trucks -- check out the eclectic collection of Steinway pianos, Remington sculptures, Case knives, Barbie dolls, boats, boat motors, children's pedal cars, and die-cast toys. Journey through history with Native American artifacts, firearms, antique cash registers, pocket watches, salt-cellars, baby bottles, silver spoons, baseball cards, antique golf balls and clubs, 100-year-old brass-bladed fans, art objects from Thailand, neon signs, stained glass, a horse from a carousel, a children's barber chair shaped like an airplane and much, much more. Part shrine, part history lesson, part pack-rat's paradise, part garage and part art gallery -- except, in this case, the art has four spotless wheels and can go from 0 to 60 faster than a Cezanne can. It's truly an amazing museum of American history.

The collection of vehicles is impressive, but unless you are a real aficionado then it can become mind numbing. And then you throw in the collections of knives, cash registers, dolls, pianos and golf clubs. Get the idea? It would have been nice to have better lighting especially where the bat mobiles are located.

This was totally worth the $13.50 admission. An armband is placed on when you buy the ticket so you can leave and come back in the same day. Give yourself at least 3 hours. There is so much, other than cars, to see and take in. the model trains and Star-Wars collection on the second level was amazing!

My husband and I saw the billboard on the Interstate. We thought lets stop and stretch our legs and look around for a while. We had no idea what a treat we were in for. This IS NOT just and Automobile Museum. It is a COLLECTORS museum, as there are collections of SO MANY items. WOW was what we kept saying! OMG, look at this collection! This is by far one of the best collector museums we have EVER been through. Looking forward to going back in Feb 2011. We spent hours the first time and are sure we will on our return. YES take your children, take your freinds. There is something here of interest for EVERY generation! Go, what are you waiting for?

I only had time to kind of blaze through this place but it is soo cool. If you like cars and old stuff, this is definitely the best place for it.

Went on Labor Day while visiting son at FSU. Great way to spend a day. There is so much to see here. In addition to the cars, motorcycles and things mentioned by other reviewers there is a huge collection of Star Wars memorabilia, Indian arrowheads, and pianos. No matter what your interest there is something for everyone. Admission is for all day so if you want to leave and grab a bite you can come back and continue your tour.
