Great service and one of the most creative breakfast menus I have ever seen. Come hungry. Busy on weekend mornings, but worth the wait.

“Not worth the wait”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

We dined here while visiting our daughter at FSU. The restaurant was recommended to her as being a good breakfast restaurant. We waited 30 minutes for a table at 10 am on a Sunday morning (this was the weekend of New Student Convocation at FSU, so it was a bit crowded). The N. Monroe location is small and does not have many tables. Once seated, service was quick, friendly and efficient, but the food was definitely not worth the wait. We all ordered omelettes and they were on par with an omelette we had just had at the Village Inn the previous weekend. Nothing special about them at all. The grits tasted like they had been sitting out a while and were rubbery. The biscuit was good and tasted homemade...probably the best thing about the breakfast.

We saw others order pancakes and french toast and they looked very good, but we tend to eat low carb so did not try the sweet items.

Glad we tried it once, but are in no hurry to return.

“Out of hash browns??”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

4 of us had breakfast here - we waited 30 minutes for a table, but as we understood, it should be well worth the wait.

The food was very very good, and the choices were nice. The blueberry almond French toast was so Tasty, and not too sweet. The skillets and quesadillas were very good also, but nothing to go crazy over. We did enjoy the meal, but it was not over the top.

When the waiter told us he was out of hash browns but they still had home fries, the was a sure clue that they were using frozen and not fresh so I was disappointed. You don't offer two choices of potatoes and run out of one but not the other if you are using fresh potatoes.

Reviewed August 13, 2013

A small hide diner with good food. This place is only open for breakfast and lunch and it's packed. I ordered the french toast is was great! My was wasn't so lucky she order pancakes and it taste like flavorless corn meal cakes. Our friend order chicken and waffle don't get discourage because they give a waffle and 3 chicken strip lol. But she said it was amazing she cleaned the plate.
