“Went back and GLAD that I did”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

I started not to go to this Society meeting on campus but at the last meeting.
I called in late and went. One friend had a family funeral. One friend had a roof
falling in from heavy rains. To go or not go--alone. I drove there through pouring
rains that Florida is famous for. It took forever to reach the Cabot Lodge. Surprise!
Classmates were super friendly, happy to be back in Tallahassee and the South.
Campus looked marvelous. Tallahassee looked wonderful with Everything blooming--it is
springtime there. Events were well planned. The President of the University mingled with
everyone. There was joy, camaraderie and a positive FSU spirit. When the FSU fight song
was played at a luncheon every stood to sing PROUDLY and all knew (remembered) the words. This school has stood the test of time, no doubt about it.

“Big and Beautiful”

really lovely campus just for strolling around in. Lots of activity happening, ball games, summer camps etc. Even with main school out for summer it was an active place.

“Great University in a Great Community”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

First of all, I am NOT an alumnus. However, I wish I was. We wanted to see some big-time college football after recently moving to the "sunshine state." We went to see the FSU Seminoles play on a Saturday afternoon and just experienced a wonderful event. We would not have thought it possible for a university organization to handle the logistics of moving 85,000 people around with such ease. It all flows - from the transportation system, to the local police (very helpful) to the students on the street (having fun, but well-behaved) to the stadium personnel, it all WORKS! Added to that we had a great experience at the Aloft Hotel - bristling with pre and post-game spirit and activity, and enjoyed some superb downtown restaurants. If you want a very special weekend big-time event activity, take in the Florida State experience!
