One of my favourite restaurants in Miami - casual, fun atmosphere and GREAT food! Ribs are super delicious as are their burgers and (huge!) salads! And definitely try the garlic rolls - I could eat just these and be happy! (Recently tried the shrimp pasta as well - shrimp was perfectly cooked! Found the pasta just slightly bland. Overall still a good meal though! Think my favourites are still the ribs and burgers!!) And if you are into dessert - the chocolate brownie is very yummy. Be warned - you can share this with about 4 people! LOL As it is quite a popular place, be prepared to wait a good 20-45 mins, depending on the night you go. Obviously Fridays and Saturdays are busiest. The wait is worth it though!!! Easy to kill the time at the bar - lots of great drinks to choose from including a good range wines and beer/lager.

TJ is our preferred barman: makes a mean vodka martini. There are countless beers on tap and the usual bar fare. Place to meet the locals and catch up on gossip.

Most of my posts are critical. This is different. I have paid a fortune for some great (and not so great) meals in "Famous" places around the world in 5 continents. Flanagans is just plain American food, they pretend to be nothing more. But the staff are amazing, kind to kids, helpful to all, price conscious and as unfailingly courteous as Americans can be. Don't expect anything more than mountains of American food served quickly at stupendously low prices. For a family with or without kids, as long as you understand that this is fast American style food (salt, fat and calories), you cannot go wrong.

Nice. Standard American food...lots of fried things and huge quantities. Great burgers. Excellent for families with kids

Went to Flannigans on our first night in Miami. There was obe other person waiting for a table. Hostess said it would be a ten minute wait.
Ten minutes turned into 45. Apparently they have one of those number systems like at the DMV, except the hostess doesnt tell you about it or do the obvious like seat the only couple in the waiting area.
Next she never tells the waitress she seated somebody.

In any event, the food was good but the staff was terrible.

Oh and they have a mandatory 15% tip because of some city ordinance about discrimination and tipping. Very strange that no other restaurant has that policy posted like that.

Needless to say, I wont go back for that reason alone
