Just OK nothing to go overboard about. Might as well be Paneras or Publix bakery.

“Great bread & cakes - not cheap”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Quality all the way, good selection. Pricey but if you want the best, this is one of the few good bakery shops in the area.

“excellent for takeout or eat in”
Reviewed February 14, 2012

I would agree with the other reviewers and add that I recently participated in a small gathering near Stuart where the food was provided by Importico (new name of Mr. Bread). We had delicious sandwiches, pasta salad and brownies. The service and preparation were excellent! Very good choice for the occasion.

“THE most authentic Napoleon in Florida”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

This is the only still-existing bakery that I have found in Florida that has REAL Napoleons: authentic and FRESH French pastry cream (no yicky hardened edges and none of that whipped cream or cool whip nonsense), flaky and crisp (FRESH) pastry layers, and a perfect blac and white top.

Some history of chasing real Napoleons in Florida:

North Florida: Au Péché Mignon French Pastry Shop in Tallahassee has "okay" Napoleons- the pastry cream is no quite authentic, but it will do if you are in dire need.

Central Florida: I have not been abe to find a real Napoleon anywhere!

South Florida: La Baguette in Miami did have the real deal, but unfortunately they are no longer open. Paris in Town in Palm Beach used to have the real deal... until they got a new pastry chef about 3 years ago. In an attempt to follow the trail of Paris in Town's pastry chef, the cashier advised me that his name was Mr. Bread and that he now has a bakery in Stuart.

“Best Bread Bakery in Town”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

Mr. Bread came to the area a few years ago and was perhaps one of the first bakeries to offer old style products. Their breads are made the old fashioned way using starters they keep active everyday.

They also offer a great line of pastries and sandwiches. My favorite place for five star breads.
