I was looking for a decent inexpensive place to stay for a 3-day scalloping trip and Heron House fit the bill. The other guests were quiet and the place was clean. Some reviews discuss the dated furniture, but I think it added a homey touch. I would definitely stay there again.
The people managing the place are great nice to talk to and ready to assist you with any incidental needs. The rooms are a bit dated and the furniture is older as well but the bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The sink has a water leak under the drain that had a bowl there catching excess water and the refrigerator was in the same boat it leaked inside and had a bowl to catch the water there as well. The overall experience was great we had a good time scalloping. And if you need an inexpensive place to sleep this room will do. The people were great. The place has a lot of potential with some updating and new furniture for the price it is close to the water and there is room to park your boat trailers. There is a small park in walking distance for you to take the kids to if they are bored in the evenings. Overall great trip. Don’t have high expectations of new amenities, but they have everything you need to cook clean up and enjoy your time on the water.
