First, the customer service was excellent. Everyone we met from the initial inquiry on the phone until I stopped back to pick up my driver's license at the end, was professional and courteous. You need to make a reservation if you're going on a busy weekend. Thank goodness we did. We had 2 canoes for 5 people. It was $37 per canoe and you can have it until 5pm in the summer and 3pm in the winter. They say you can make it in 3 hrs but what's the rush? It took us 5 hrs. You go 5 miles down the river to Rogers Park and a van drives you back to your car.

We saw a mama and baby manatee, lots of fish, and some turtles. We took snacks and drinks and should have reapplied sunscreen every half an hour. I never burn and I burned.

Our canoe tipped over but thank goodness my husband knew how to right it back up again. However, all of our stuff got wet. We had the foresight to pack our cellphone in a sandwich baggy and it was safe. Next time, we'd just leave it in the car.

We stopped a couple of times at shallow points to swim and take a snack break. The current is 5 miles an hour but is actually very strong in certain areas. Once you pass something, it is difficult to try and canoe or swim back to it.

We'll definitely be back and I would like to try the kayaks next time.

Terrific day on the river. Paddling adventures made it easy to get on the river, and also back to our starting point of Weeki Wachi state park. Paddled with kids age 12 & 15 - and we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Took about 4 hours - and this was with stops along the way at sand bars and swings - to swim, play, and have a bite to eat. Lots of fish, and manatees were swimming right under us. We had the sit upon kayaks which made it easy to get on and off. The water was clear, and beautiful! Make sure to have anything you don't want to get wet in plastic bags.

I love going to this place and so do my kids. Paddling the river takes at least 3 hours, we usually take around 5. Every time I have gone we always see manatees and there are many places to stop and swim. There are some rope swings and boards people have nailed up to jump off of at different spots down the river. Price includes your boat, life jackets (which are fun to use as a float while swimming) and a return ride back to your car, there is no parking fees. There is a bathroom where you pay to go but of course there are none on the river ride.

Had a great 3 hrs paddling down the 5 miles of the weeki wachi river. Saw several manatee and turtles and plenty of fish. You can swim at several spots on the way or at Roger Park. Well worth the money for the hire which includes life jackets and return transport back to Weeki Wachi state park.
