I don't know what happened to this pizzeria / restaurant. Before they moved around the corner to their new / larger quarters, they were packed with many regular customers. They moved about a month ago and seem to have lost their way.
Ten of us went last night (a Friday) and arrived about 6:10 to a mostly empty restaurant. Besides us there were two other tables occupied with about 6 people total. We ordered drinks (beer & wine) and were served promptly by a very friendly waiter. Right after our drinks arrived, we ordered our food - this was about 6:30. Then we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. We saw other customers come in; get their pizza; and eat, before we received anything but one salad, that one of us ordered. It was 7:40 before the food started coming out of the kitchen. Well over an hour to get pizza and sandwiches!!! Then it was another 15 minutes before one last pizza made it out of the kitchen (our waiter did say the cook messed up that one, so remade it - that is why it took longer).
The pizza and other food was passable. Comments ran from "OK", to "not too great". I had the "Hot Italian Beef" sandwich and it was "Fair" at best. The waiter tried, apologized a few times, but mostly stayed away. Our group arrived in a very good mood (a lot of joking around and laughing) we left in a very different mood altogether.
There are way too many good pizza places in the Hudson and Spring Hill area to waste your time waiting over an hour for mediocre food.

We have been looking for a good New York thin crust pizza since moving to Spring Hill years ago. I had never heard of this place until I did some online searches for pizza in the area (we were bored with our usual choices). We had a thin crust pizza & antipasti. The pizza was excellent! The crust was delicious, as was the sauce. We ordered a combo pizza and the only thing that would improve the pie would be the use of fresh mushrooms rather than canned. The antipasti for two was large and had many good items on it. The menu also has thick crust pizza, as well as other Italian entrees which looked very good. The place is very small, but it appears that there is an expansion underway. It's a good thing, as the restaurant was totally filled the entire time we were there. Here's a nit...they need larger napkins! Service was very good. We shall be returning here for our next pizza, as it was the best we have had in a very long time!

Traveling with our 6-yr-old vegetarian granddaughter, we decided on pizza for dinner and wanted lots of veggies. We chose Campitiello's based on other reviews and are happy to report they have a wide assortment of veggie toppings. The pizza was really good and it appears that family members operate the place. Judging by the accents of the customers all around us, this place is very popular with those from the NE, especially NY and NJ. It was a bit of a challenge to find it around the side of a shopping center, but we were told they would be moving soon to a more conspicuous spot in the same center.

The atmosphere and the food were just great. I took my family there and they were very impressed with the food and how friendly the staff were.

you will want to try this place. I have tried every pizza joint in Spring Hill and Campitiellos BY FAR has the only decent pizza. They have a Chicago style pizza that comes very close to a true Chicago pizza. Sorry all you New Yorkers, but your pizza sucks!
The owner, Joe, is a fabulous guy with a great sense of humor. Clean and cute little restaurant.
