I expected the Microtel Inn & Suites to be a basic lodging option for staying near a minor tourist attraction, and was pleased to discover it was much nicer than expected. As far as I could tell, construction and decoration of my room could have been completed the day before my stay. Everthing was new and clean, and the room's furnishings and decor were ultra-modern. It was a fairly small room, but space was used very efficiently to make sure that all the amenities a guest might want were present and within easy reach.
I only have one reservation - I happened to be booked into a handicapped-accessible room by chance, and as my father is disabled I noticed that the room would not actually be easily accessible for someone in a wheelchair. The bathroom design in particular would be challenging for anyone with serious mobility issues. I could only recommend it for people with mild disabilities that allow them to walk at least short distances unaided and step over a 2' high tub lip. I'd have no hesitation about recommending the property for able-bodied guests, however, and if I'm ever staying in the area again this will be my first choice for lodging.More
